Lifestyle sessions are meant to capture just that: life.
And this is the type of session to add a little fun in your outfits. If the kids have a favorite outfit, let them have a say in it! Show off their little personalities.
For moms, I recommend casual dresses, lounge sets, or jeans and a tee.
The key is to select items that you feel represent how your family would normally dress
The best part of a studio session is that you get to borrow from my client closet!
No need to stress about outfit planning...let me do it for you.
Wardrobe available for moms, toddlers, and babies.
For dads, I recommend jeans/slacks with a soft, neutral shirt/sweater. Shades of white, cream, tan, brown, and olive photograph best with the handpainted backdrops.
The goal with these hospital sessions is to look and feel cozy with your new baby. You are in a hospital, so no one expects you to dress up!!
Cute pj sets or loungewear is perfect!
For baby, neutral swaddles, soft pjs, or even just sticking with the hospital wraps always feels most natural
And because hospital rooms can be crazy colors, I recommend sticking with soft neutrals so that the emphasis stays on what matters most
Flattering moms is one of the biggest priorities, which is why I always suggest mom picks her outfit first.
Look for a dress/2 piece set, jeans/tee that YOU feel really good it and one that is comfy enough to move around with littles in.
Be aware of any problem areas you don't want to emphasize (arms, belly, etc)
Look for inspiration in your own home! If you plan to print/hang your images, look around your home to see what colors would blend in well.
When in doubt, soft neutrals are the way to go.
Shades of white/cream/tan/brown/olive/sage are my favorites for indoor sessions. They add a little bit of depth while still allowing the focus to stay on your family
I will be here to answer any questions that may come up before your session. Leading up, I will provide you with a Prep Guide that will go over outfit coordination, how to prepare your home and the baby, and the overall session flow. This is not to be stressful. Remember: perfectly imperfect
Look for ways you can incorporate texture to your wardrobe...this will add visual interest and look amazing on camera.
Knitted sweaters, linen or gauze fabrics, and subtle prints are all great ways to make your images stand out a bit.
With your permission, after your session, I will post a sneak peak on social media within 2-3 days with the final delivery within 3 weeks. It is then through that gallery that you will be able to share images with family, order prints, design announcement or holiday cards, and utilize your print credits.
