“Those first days home with your baby are blur…”
The immediate postpartum time is like no other. It’s full of stress, anxiety, Insecurity, lack of sleep, and absolute BEAUTY!
I have a vision to show mamas just how amazing they are in that postpartum time. Her belly may be squishier, but it’s because it housed the perfect little baby. It grew life. Her hair isn’t washed, she’s exhausted, but she is strong. She feels so much for the sake of putting her baby’s needs above her own.
Those first days home with your baby are blur, but I want you to be able to remember exactly how it felt to snuggle your baby against your chest. Or to remember just how you looked after birth, because believe it or not you won’t look like that forever, and it’s a look that you can’t create on your own. That belly is proof of your baby’s existence and proof that you are a BADASS mama who birthed a baby! And that, mamas, deserves to be celebrated and documented.
I am thrilled to be now offering “4th trimester” sessions. These are real, raw sessions done immediately after bringing baby home from the hospital. These aren’t to be confused with a fresh 48. These are done in your home where your life begins. The images created focus on the mother/baby bond and that journey that has just begun. It’s not your typical session experience where you make sure your makeup and hair are done, curate the perfect matching wardrobe, and laugh through the exhaustion.
This session is to showcase the authentic, raw, and unconditional love of a mom in her 4th trimester.
This session type can easily be added to an existing newborn session or scheduled independently after birth. If you’re currently waiting for your little one to arrive, and would love to document your postpartum beauty, I am happy to offer a special discount/package for spring.
If you’re worried about what your belly is going to look like pp, want to hear a little secret? Bellies are supposed to still be bigger right after having a baby. It has grown and housed a baby for 9 months, and I’m not sure who started the rumor that it would magically disappear when baby arrives, but they clearly never had a baby. It’s swollen and possibly bruised and guess what… it’s beautiful.
Mamas, give it time. Embrace the beauty of the 4th trimester, and dare I say, CELEBRATE it, because you are truly a powerful woman, conquering the unthinkable.
