I am so grateful for and to all the mama’s who have been welcoming me into their homes to capture what postpartum looks like to them. Each home different, baby different, and most importantly, body different. I have felt true women empowerment doing these sessions and felt it greatly when photographing Leslie who had Isabella at the end of February.
Leslie embraced the beautiful changes that has happened to her body during pregnancy and delivery. I felt my own empowerment watching her be confident in the body that carried her sweet girl. Capturing the vessel that grew a human and brought their life into the world is an indescribable experience.
Their home made capturing them around her bedroom a breeze. The natural light, light curtains, and cozy blankets created a bright yet textured room. It goes to show that you don’t need a lot in a space in order for it to be inspiring and comfortable!
Isabella was darling and I loved Leslie’s black pajama set from Pretty Little Things because it made Isabella stand out when being cradled and fed. Her dark locks and many facial expressions melted my heart.
