I love capturing babies and their families in my Franklin Photography Studio. Something that is so commonly seen in traditional photography studios are neutral toned backdrops, a roll of special paper, that creates a consistently clean background.

I wanted to be able to provide something more serene, something more unique… just like the mamas that walk into my studio. That’s where the blue backdrop was born.

With this backdrop, I am able to create a calming environment full of texture and dimension. The shades of dusty blue are dark enough to be seen but light enough to not distract from my subjects. It’s stunning and my favorite part of all, its hand painted on durable canvas by one of my dear friends.

I wanted to share some of my favorite images showcasing this adorning feature, including the dear friend and mama who created it. If you fall in love, having a session with it is simple and can be done on it owns or added to your current booking. It’s a great way to add a soft element to your timeless moments. Gowns in images are also apart of the studio’s curated wardrobe!
