Capturing Tommy during his newborn session in my Franklin studio created instant nostalgia. I have been photographing this beautiful family for years now. I can remember their first maternity session like it was yesterday but it was now big sister Grace’s newborn session that flashed back during our latest session.

During Tommy’s session, we were all full of joy and our hearts melted. Grace was so sweet giving baby brother kisses and poking his little nose. To see her curiosity and already big heart shine was such a gift.

The light that came into the studio that day made the whole space glow. It paired perfectly with the hand painted backdrop by Willow Canvas. I love how soft the backdrops are but also how bold little baby features are against it. Mom, Megan, and Grace picked out flowy ivory dresses from my client closet and dad wore classic jeans. The cozy details and baby kisses made this session feel like home.

Another must have to this session was recreating some of their most treasured images from Grace’s newborn session. The very end has one of dad’s absolute favorites and it’s one of mine too.
