Let’s talk about studio sessions… My Franklin, Tennessee studio is designed to emulate natural light as much as possible, though I also use a softbox for all my sessions. Did you know I want studio sessions to have the same cozy vibe as an in-home session? We focus on connection, fun interactions, and lots of laughs!

So, what’s the difference between in-home and studio sessions? The studio offers a clean, timeless look with zero work for mama! I always tell my clients that studio sessions are perfect for families who:

• Don’t love the décor or lighting in their home
• Want a simpler feel to their photos, and/or
• Don’t want to stress about wardrobe

Recently, the Haviland family decided to splurge on family photos that truly captured the little moments and sweet details of their son. They came to the studio, and the session was pure magic! We kept it simple with a studio setup and used colorful green and then timeless tan backdrops.

A few months ago, I added the green backdrop to my studio rotation, and I’m absolutely in love with it. This rich color has been perfect for the holidays and newborn sessions, adding so much depth and warmth. I’m always looking for ways to create a cozier feel and mix things up for studio sessions, and this backdrop has been a wonderful addition.
