Invite me in and let me witness your family in their element. Let me see your kids’ personalities come out when they are given the space to be kids. Let me observe your daily routines that you will miss so much once the kids are grown.

The Bhatiani family wanted to document this stage of life in their home with their one-year-old, Sebastian. Their little boy is constantly on the go, and they wanted to incorporate his favorite activities into the session. We spent our time together letting Sebastian climb the stairs, going on a family walk, and riding in his car. 

Our time together was fun and go with the flow – my favorite. This session was a great reminder why capturing kids in their own element is so wonderful. As a Franklin Tenneesse family photographer, it’s important to me to never stop letting kids be kids. When we force kids to sit perfectly still and perform for photos, we miss out on moments that best represent childhood… I loved focusing on genuine, candid interactions between mom, dad, and their little one throughout this session.

Lived-in family sessions like this one with the Bhatiani family have a special place in my heart. I love when my clients welcome me into their homes to document these moments. I want to be a part of it all with my camera in hand!
